I have seen many people trying tirelessly to fill their diet with protein shakes, starting early in the morning. In order to have a balanced diet and increase their protein intake, they often switch to protein supplements.

However, there is some delicious protein packed breakfast ideas that you can try. So hit the alarm clock and jump out of bed and try these recipes.

1. Vanilla and pumpkin oatmeal

Though oatmeal is something that you have almost everyday, adding something extra to it enhances its nutritional value and taste. Oats can be mixed with canned pumpkin, unsweetened maple syrup, chopped raisins, chopped pecans and vanilla protein powder. There is no better way to kick start your day!

2. Pancake muffins

One of the best breakfast recipes I have known till date is pancake muffins. These finest-tasting pancakes can be baked easily. All you need is a ripe banana, unsweetened almond milk, almond extract and a high protein pancake mix. Blend the mixture together and bake it in the oven for 20 minutes. You have your high powered breakfast ready in minutes.

3. Peanut butter and chocolate cookies

There is no need to stay away from sweets to stay in shape. Here is an amazing recipe that can satisfy your sweet craving and meet your protein requirements. All you need to make these delicious cookies is a ripe banana, natural peanut butter, quick oats, whey chocolate protein powder and shredded coconut. Mash the bananas and add all the other ingredients and mix well. Use an oven tray and paper to lay the cookies in small sizes. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. Enjoy!

4. Oatmeal with chocolate

I bet your protein rich breakfast could not get better than this one. This is one of the best recipes you have known so far. It is loaded with chocolate and oatmeal. It is a mixture of oats, plain yogurt or mashed pumpkins, low fat milk and whey chocolate powder. Keep the mixture in jars and refrigerate it overnight. Enjoy it the next morning with chopped nuts or fruits of your choice.

5. Banana almond cream shake

This shake is jam packed with proteins and nutritional value. All you need to make this delicious protein shake is some rice protein, banana, pea protein, almonds and skimmed milk. Blend it together and enjoy your cream shake with some ice cubes.

6. Cornflakes with strawberries

There is nothing better than a bowl of cereals to start the day. A bowl of low fat milk with cornflakes and strawberries is my favorite breakfast recipe. It gives you all the nutrients you need to start the day. It is fortified with vitamin D and vitamin C.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So it is essential to include protein, calcium and vitamin based food in your morning meal. If you miss or skip your breakfast, your body is deprived of essential nutrients and it is less likely to be compensated, no matter what you eat the rest of the day.
